MADISON, Wis. – This morning, a new op-ed from the Cap Times editorial board highlights Tammy Baldwin’s work to restore and defend reproductive freedoms in the wake of the two-year anniversary of the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade. While detailing Tammy’s fierce pro-choice record throughout her career, the op-ed calls out Eric Hovde’s longtime anti-abortion efforts, which contributed to the overturning of Roe and the enactment of Wisconsin’s 1849 near-total criminal abortion ban.

He proclaims himself as “totally opposed to abortion,” including legalized abortion from conception. […]
• He [Hovde] believes an abortion ban would be “reasonable.” And a far-right anti-abortion group endorsed him because he showed “strong support for federal right-to-life issues.” The group’s mission is to make abortion “legally unacceptable.”[…]
• Those particulars make a compelling argument against Hovde. But there is a far more compelling argument for supporting Baldwin. The incumbent’s stance is unequivocal. […]
