ICYMI: Tammy Baldwin Launches “Women for Tammy” Coalition

MADISON, Wis. – In case you missed it, today in Madison Tammy Baldwin launched “Women for Tammy,” a coalition of Wisconsin women who are highlighting the importance of women’s voices this Election Day.

“I’m so proud to launch ‘Women for Tammy,’ a coalition of Wisconsin women who are moms, teachers, veterans, health care providers, and above all, fighters, who are ready to use their voices at the ballot box this Election Day,” said Tammy Baldwin. “Whether it’s working to restore reproductive freedoms, combat gender inequality, or cut costs and expand opportunities to help our families get ahead, Wisconsin women have my word that I’ll always be the fighter they can count on to represent them in the U.S. Senate.”

Tammy’s agenda for Wisconsin women includes:

  • Championing the fight for the full restoration of reproductive rights and freedoms;
  • Bringing down the cost of raising a family;
  • Fighting for pay equity and equal opportunity in the workforce;
  • And improving access to high quality, affordable health care.

Meanwhile, her opponent Eric Hovde:

  • Has said he is 100% opposed to abortion and cheered on the overturning of Roe;
  • Would cut critical programs like Social Security and Medicare;
  • Criticized women for focusing too much on “Hollywood”;
  • And blamed women and single mothers for society’s ills, saying kids raised in single-parent homes are on “a direct path to a life of poverty.”
