ICYMI: Tammy Baldwin Hosts Voting Rights Roundtable with Community Leaders for Grand Opening of Campaign’s Milwaukee Office

In case you missed it, Tammy Baldwin marked the grand opening of her campaign’s new Milwaukee office alongside community leaders for a roundtable discussion on defending the constitutionally protected right to vote.

The roundtable featured an important conversation on some of the most pressing voting rights issues such as countering voter suppression efforts and protecting access to the ballot box so all of Wisconsin’s communities are represented in their democracy. Following the discussion, Tammy was presented with the Freedom to Vote Champion Award for her work to ensure that every Wisconsinite has the opportunity to cast their ballot in every election.

“On Saturday, I was excited to welcome community leaders to my brand new Milwaukee office for an important conversation on voting rights,” said Tammy Baldwin. “I was also honored to receive Power to the Polls Wisconsin’s Freedom to Vote Champion Award for my work to stand up to the right wing extremism coming for our freedom to vote. Wisconsinites have my word that I’m going to keep fighting to stop voter suppression efforts and remove barriers to the constitutionally protected right to vote.”

Participants included:

  • Mandela Barnes, Power to the Polls Wisconsin,
  • Nick Ramos, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign
