Students for Tammy Baldwin

Students hold the power to change the world…

Tammy Baldwin has always had a special relationship with students. While a student herself, attending her first year of law school at UW-Madison, Tammy was elected to public office to represent student neighborhoods on the Dane County Board.

Tammy went on to spend six years in the State Assembly, fighting for student rights and progressive values.

In 1998, record turnout among student voters helped make Tammy the first woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Wisconsin. An historic first, Tammy was also the first openly gay person ever elected to Congress as a non-incumbent.

Tammy is a fierce supporter of civil rights and an advocate for those in our society whose voices, too often, are not heard. Today, her hard work and dedication continues in Congress, fighting for us so that every student can get a high quality, affordable education.

Students for Tammy Baldwin isn’t just a campaign; it’s a political movement. But Tammy needs our help.  If you are interested in joining Students for Tammy Baldwin, please contact us at campaign@tammybaldwin.com.
